About the role

All staff at GVCASA work within a trauma informed care framework and the Administration Assistant role plays a key role in participating in this, as the first point of contact for all clients, internal and external stakeholder and visitors to the service. The Administration Assistant will report directly to the Manager Trauma Informed Services (TIS) and will support the business operations, by providing a range of high quality and timely administration services to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Trauma Informed Services – GVCASA department. The casual Administration Assistant position supports our administration team, and includes a strong focus on maintaining client records.

Goulburn Valley Centre Against Sexual Assault (GVCASA) is one of 15 CASAs that operate throughout Victoria. Together we work to ensure that people of all genders who are victims/survivors of sexual assault have access to comprehensive and timely support, and interventions to address their needs. GVCASA provides a range of services including counselling, group work, advocacy, secondary consultation, training for other professionals and community education. GVCASA’s main office is located in Shepparton and provides outreach services throughout the West Hume Region.

We are looking for

Qualifications in Office/Business Administration or equivalent experience gained in a professional office environment and proven ability to provide a range of administrative and secretarial support on multiple levels.

Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to use initiative to plan and prioritise work to complete tasks within set timeframes, as well as attention to detail, to ensure accuracy and completeness of records, reports and documentation.

Problem solving skills to identify issues, and judgement to determine appropriate courses of action and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders as part of a team.

Sound judgement and maturity to handle sensitive matters and remain calm under pressure.
