Accountabilities include:

  • Assist in the delivery of the TMR WHS audit program.
  • Provide specialist risk management advice and support to all business units in accordance with the TMR Safety Management System.
  • Provide investigation services for significant and/or serious high potential incidents in accordance with the requirements of the TMR Safety Management System.
  • Provide technical WHS leadership and guidance to business Safety Advisors and managers.
  • Undertake projects and tasks to improve the effectiveness of health and safety practices.
  • Collate and distribute key messaging and work updates to key stakeholders as required.
  • Consult, negotiate, liaise and provide support, guidance and high-level expert advice to business units and managers on operational WHS issues.
  • Provide support for TSafe and other safety governance committees as required.
  • Communicate and engage with a range of stakeholders including senior leaders, management, safety advisors across TMR.
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy workplace by complying with Workplace Health and Safety legislation, code of conduct, standards and departmental policy and procedure. This role reports to the Principal Advisor (Assurance & Governance) and has no direct reports.

Desirable requirements:

  • A formal qualification in Workplace Health and Safety.
