The Role

The position provides support to the CAF12 Delivery Manager and delivery team with material logistics Manage and Deliver (M&D) Assurance for Air Traffic Management systems (CAF12).

The position also provides a number of business functions for CAF 12 and Surveillance and Control Systems Program Office (S&CSPO) including but not limited to those listed below:

Conducting risk based assurance checks and reviews across the range of Air Traffic Management (ATM) Industry Partners to ensure the performance of Industry meets capability outcomes.

Assisting with the:
Consolidation post transition of CAF12 manage and deliver functions to Industry Partners.

Transition of new/upgraded ATM systems into sustainment.

Conducting the following business support functions:
CAF12 Objective Workgroup Coordinator.

CAF12 Risk Manager.

HAZCHEM Safety Advisor.

Technical Assessor – supporting CAF12 ATM Logistics Section.

ADAAS Administrator.

About our Team

S&CSPO is responsible for the sustainment of Air Traffic Management (CAF12)capability which includes both the fixed permanently operational ADF airbases and the Deployable elements that provide Air Traffic Services at a forward airfield or landing zone.

The CAF12 Asset Management Unit is an integrated team that provide a level of Governance and Assurance of performance and contracted deliverable services of CAF 12 Industry Partners contracted to support/sustain Defence’s Air Traffic Management capability. The position resides within the ten member CAF12 Air Traffic Management Delivery Team providing direct support for Surveillance and Control Equipment

The ideal candidate is someone who is able to foster and manage Enterprise relationships with representatives of the Capability Manager and CAF12 (Air Traffic Management) Industry Partners and is able to work in an integrated workforce environment consisting of Defence, Australian Public Service and contractor personnel. Strong interpersonal, communication, planning, analytical, and management skills are important in this role.

The candidate will need to be highly responsive, adaptable, resilient and demonstrate initiative in the chosen position. Moreover, to be able to work with minimal supervision and also provide direction and leadership where applicable to the associated business support functions.
