The Role
Within the Logistics Management function an APS5 Logistics Officer is accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve complex logistics inventory and asset management.
An APS5 Logistics Officer will be accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to their area of responsibility. They will:
Interpret and provide advice within the Logistics Management function area based on legislation, policy and procedures.
Undertake technical research and analysis, conduct reviews, assessment and perform procedural work to achieve results.
The APS5 Logistics Officer may be a team coach or supervise a team and be accountable to set work priorities, allocate work, and manage workflows and performance.
Contribute to various logistics management activities to provide support to units within Defence.
Participate in the review and development of policies, procedures and processes for logistics management.
Understand and clarify logistics policy and legislation for stakeholders within Defence.

Have a keen eye for detail.
Be capable of working with a wide variety of customers and stakeholders.
Previous experience in a Logistics environment.
Manage the priorities and needs of the customers to meet and exceed their expectations.
Be able to work in a fluid environment by remaining flexible, agile and adaptable.
Experience with the MILIS system is highly desirable.
Be prepared to undergo security clearance.
