Full Job Description
The Assembly Operator position is critical to the assembly of Valves and Controls onsite in line with quality standards including following set Production Orders and Work Instructions.

Key responsibilities:
Ensure high standards of quality assembly of all products manufactured at Product Centre.

Liaise with the Manufacturing Supervisor to determine production timelines and schedules for projects.

Review Manufacturing Orders and Work Instructions to verify correct information and detail is followed.

Ensure safe work practices in the Production Department in accordance with the Company Safety Program, as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory agency rules and regulations such as OSHA and EPA.

Assemble Valves in accordance with set quality standards including following written and verbal work instructions, engineering standards manual and standard operating procedures.

Monitor and suggest cost strategies where identified within Manufacturing to Supervisor.

Resolve problems as they arise, reducing the impact of unforeseen difficulties.

Review orders and confer with other departments to resolve Manufacturing problems.

Provide support to other team members and Departments as necessary.

Establish and maintain relationships across departments to ensure clear project expectations and time frames are met.

Maintain up to date knowledge of production and improve systems where necessary.

Continuously improve the knowledge and skills of the Production team members through participating in training and on the job mentoring.

Report to Manufacturing Supervisor regularly with regards to objectives, goals, accomplishments and expectations.

Perform any other duties as necessary.

Skills, educations & experience required

Trade certificate or equivalent industry experience.

Mechanical background.

Experience with hand tools.

Knowledge of engineering assembly practices.

Verbal and Written Communication Skills

The ability to coordinate, multitask and prioritise.
