The opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a bidding assistant to join our design team. As a remote-based bidding assistant, you will work as part of a global design team of presentation and document publishing specialists, responsible for producing high-quality bid collateral in line with Mace Consult’s brand guidelines and business strategy.

You will combine your level of proficiency in both MS Office and Adobe InDesign with a creative approach to content layout, pitch decks and template design while being flexible and resilient within tight timeframes.

In this role you will be a member of our small global design team, providing you with the opportunity to contribute to winning business projects across the globe, and collaborating with creative colleagues across our regions of service. The design team provides design and desktop publishing services across a broad range of bidding collateral for tender submission and pitch presentations to clients. This also includes annual reports, capability statements, ad hoc work, template creation, leave-behinds, case studies, CVs and any other design collateral required to support the bid team. The team is responsible for supporting Mace Consult to win work including, but not limited to, large infrastructure programmes, strategic mega projects and major property developments across the world.

Your responsibilities will include:
Using publishing software such as InDesign and Microsoft Word to create page layouts for print or electronic publication.

Importing text and graphics into publishing software, integrating images, infographics, and content to create cohesive layouts.

Choosing formatting properties, such as text size, column width, and spacing.

Working with proofed documents to make corrections and take in mark-ups.

Gathering existing materials and working with designers and writers to create engaging content.

Producing business collateral, not limited to, annual reports and capability statements.

Using desktop publish large volume workstreams of bid-related material including CVs, project profiles and bid documentation.

Providing advanced formatting support for PowerPoint pitch decks, and designing slides to convey key messages.

Assisting with the creation of complex infographics and visuals.

About you

You will be a capable driven individual with experience in a similar desktop publishing role delivering support in a timely and professional manner with an aim to develop excellent knowledge of the Mace Consults brand, style and processes. You are positive, ambitious, collaborative and driven, and would enjoy working in a tight-knit team that is motivated to support each other across projects and time zones.

You will be experienced at an intermediate level in Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint and Word) including developing and using company templates within these programs. You will have a good understanding of design, typesetting and the layout of complex information with some experience in review and sign-off processes. You will also have intermediate-level experience in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat.
