The opportunity
This strategic role will see you manage complex Workers Compensation claims, provide high levels of claims service to our customers and achieve outcomes for injured people:
Manage complex workers compensation claims including but not limited to:
capped and uncapped common law, new employer return to work goal, psychological injuries and disputes in liability
Formulate and execute strategies to achieve outcomes on complex claims
Support team and wider business with strategic collaboration
Establish effective communication networks with both internal and external stakeholders
Respond to client requests in accordance with service standards
Negotiate settlements of claims within authority levels
Work closely with our legal panel to achieve excellent claims outcomes
Support the implementation of QBE’s Claims strategy to enable delivery of overall business targets
Maintain current knowledge of insurance guidelines and policy changes and modifications
Comply with all legislation, industry codes and company policies
Your story so far
Experience in a similar role within the insurance industry
Sound knowledge of WA Workers Compensation legislation
Strong customer service skills with ability to influence and engage key stakeholders in high risk or complex claims
Problem solving and analytical skills
Conflict resolution & negotiation skills
Verbal and written communication skills
An interest in developing your coaching, educating & mentoring skills
