The Role:
An opportunity exists for enthusiastic Clerical Workers to apply for available vacant EFT within the Broadmeadows Health Information management (HIS) team in the provision of Health Information Services’ duties at Northern Health. This recruitment is for a Fixed Term contract position (0.95 EFT) until 29 December 2023.
The position involves working with medical records, including the preparation, scanning, archival and culling of patient health information, quality assurance activities, duplicates portfolio and general reception and clerical duties. We require enthusiastic applicants with excellent communication and organisational skills, attention to detail who can work in a team environment, relate well to all levels of staff and work independently with confidence. It is important that you understand or have a willingness to learn and commit to privacy and confidentiality as it relates to this role.
The role will be based at Broadmeadows Hospital within the Health Information Services Department. The role involves working 9 x 8 hours shifts over a fortnight period. Days are flexible, however Monday to Friday is preferred and the operational hours are 8.00am – 4.30pm. Shifts will be predominately at Broadmeadows Hospital, however staff may be required to work across other Northern Health campuses where required.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Health Information Services experience is preferred
The ability to work unsupervised
Demonstrated computer literacy including the Microsoft Office suite of programs
Experience in document management and scanning
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail
Understanding of the privacy and confidentiality policies
