About the role

To provide prompt and effective solutions to customers related to terminal operations, cargo care, logistic chain solutions and beyond the gate service. To develop and sustain first-class service interfaces (for both internal and external customers). Deliver value to our customers through proactively engaging with them to offer a variety of services that will deliver high quality service, value for money and increased revenue stream for the business

Key accountabilities

Develop and maintain a high standard of communication with DPWA customers, local and overseas operational staff.

Develop a detailed understanding of the requirements of each of DP World Australia customer line.

Day to day management of customer’s operational needs, ensuring maximum utilisation of vessels on national level, management of stack run in requirements on national level; empty container repositioning requirements on regional level; increase revenue stream.

Driving further development and interface solutions between customers and DPWA to increase efficiency of container flow and logistic chain

Leading edge customer service through deep understanding and knowledge of our customers’ requirements and needs

Proactive and energetic attitude to deliver exceptional customer service through early planning ,prompt actions and clear communication

Required Experience/Qualifications

Relevant industry degree

Experience

Some professional working experience is desired but not essential

Experience and detailed understanding of vessel operations, schedules and all aspects of ship planning.

Skills/Techniques

High level communication skills and ability to develop close working relationships with both client Lines’ and terminal operations staff.

Sound working knowledge of DP World internal planning systems (Sn4, SSR, etc.)

Must have a good working knowledge of PC based applications to be able to produce reports

Must be able to work both unsupervised and as part of the Customer Centre team as required.

Must be adaptable, have a flexible and fluid approach to NPC duties and be able to accommodate varying workloads.

Analytical and logical approach to problem solving.

Proactively approach to problem solving – identifications of operational issues and recommending solutions

Ability and willingness to take on, develop and retain ownership of role-related projects within the company

Must be able to work both unsupervised and as part of the Customer Centre team as required.

Must have a flexible and fluid approach to working to accommodate the speed of changes within the industry and varying workloads
