We currently have a vacancy for a Customs Compiler/Classifier to join our Customs team based in DHL’s Sydney Matraville office.

Overall Role Purpose
Customs Compiler is responsible for:
Prepares customs documents as required per local customs regulations
Feeds data into customs operating system
Provides general administrative support to others within Customs
Customer, Other Stakeholder & Process
Sets up master data for transactions
Executes post-entry work/transactions
Supports/maintains operational systems
Resolves duty/tax and billing issues
Conducts quality and best practice audits
Executes back-office duties (e.g. scanning, filing, reporting)
Skills / Qualifications
Expedient system desirable, but not essential.
Minimum one (1) year previous experience in Shipping/International freight forwarding industry in a Customs Compiler/Classifier role (advantageous)
Sound knowledge of Freight Forwarding and Logistics in general
Able to work independently
Adaptable to changes daily due to customer & airlines requests
High degree of reliability and attention to detail.
Be a team player with a positive can do attitude.
Be results driven and be able to demonstrate strong communication and administration skills
