Food and Beverage Attendant – Seasonal Casual

Our Food & Beverage and Events Team are currently seeking F&B Attendants to join our friendly team of Casuals. You will hold responsibility for delivering an amazing guest experience in an energetic, courteous, and professional manner. The successful applicants will have proven Food & Beverage experience and willingness to undertake a variety of hospitality tasks

Position details & duties include:

  • Providing friendly food & beverage counter service, basic food preparation and assisting with in-park events and functions
  • Cleaning duties table clearing, ensuring courter areas are well presented and refreshed & assisting with dish room duties as required.
  • Understanding of menu offerings; provide suggestions and up-sell food and beverage items.
  • Maintain visual presentation and product offerings of the outlet
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene for food handling and presentation.
  • Promote a safe workplace by recognising hazards and promoting general WHS practises.
  • Availability over Qld and NSW School Holiday periods is essential.
  • Shifts from Monday to Sunday on a rotating roster, expected weekly hours to range from 0- 20 hours and up to 38 hours during peak periods.
  • You must be comfortable working in an outdoor environment that includes birds and reptiles.
  • Pay and work conditions are under the Amusements, Events & Recreation Award 2020.

Selection Criteria:

  • Previous experience in a customer service role, ideally within a Fast Food, cafe or restaurant.
  • Current Qld Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) is essential or willingness to obtain.
  • Hours of work: typically, between 7.00 am – 9.00 pm over 7-day roster. Own transport required.
  • Must have excellent time management and ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including cash handling and up-selling ability.
  • Experience working at Events and confident three-plate carry is desirable but not essential.
  • You must be a hardworking, friendly & cooperative: being reliable and a ‘can-do’ attitude is a key part of the job.
  • Barista experience is desirable but not essential.
