About the business and the role

Hunter Leisure is currently recruiting for sales assistants to sell showbags & novelties during the Royal Melbourne Show which runs September 24 – Oct 2 at the Showgrounds, located in Ascot Vale/Flemington. Applicants will need previous experience using a cash register in a fast food (or fast paced selling environment) to be the best suited candidates for these positions.The shifts vary in hours, and due to the unpredictable nature of the event, ideally applicants will need to make themselves available to work at all times during the event.However, there is weekend and public holiday work available .You MAY finish your shift late at night (between 9-10pm), so please be prepared to travel at these times. A roster will be provided at the beginning of the event, but is subject to change with little notice. Selected candidates will be required to accurately count & balance money, demonstrate outstanding customer service skills, as well as be a flexible and co operative member of a dedicated team.
