Hays is partnered with a Local Government Organisation who put the Townsville Community first and put people at the heart of their work. They are seeking someone an experienced Administrator to join their team to assist due to a current secondment.
Your new role
This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to gain working experience within a Government organisation. You will be working within the Department that specialises in Construction/Maintenance/Operations/Infrastructure. If you like working within a team, this is the role for you.
Reporting to the Team Leader, your day-to-day duties will consist of:
Inbox management, responding to internal and external emails.
Answering any phone call overflow from Reception.
Providing general Administrative support to the team.
Implement office systems, procedures and processes to improve business efficiencies.
Any other Adhoc duties as required.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of 4+ years Administrative experience.
You will also:
Have prior experience working in a fast paced environment, with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
Work well within a team.
Have a high level of professionalism and strong customer service skills.
Have a resilient nature.
Exposure to multiple software’s or be proficient across the Microsoft suite.
The ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol test.
