The Role:
Working within a small team of three on a Fixed-Term Contract until the end of July 2023, the Mail Centre Assistant is based full-time at our 33 Exhibition Street office. You will be responsible for delivering prompt, efficient and accurate inbound & outbound mail and courier services to provide critical logistical support to the business and our customers.

Responsibilities:
Daily incoming & outgoing mail (including Australia Post, courier consignments & internal mail).

Receive, unpack, verify, sort & accurately distribute to / collect from designated points for relevant teams, personnel & process flows.

Prepare and facilitate mass courier and postal distributions, following

Escalate all late freight through the appropriate channels, investigating and liaising with StarTrack

Liaising with various Business Units providing cost effective solutions to meet service requirements

Maintain records on daily Mail Centre activities and report in line with reporting requirements for Document & Mail Services.

Reconciling that all invoices are received and that correct costs have been charged (e.g. Australia Post, StarTrack, DHL, etc.)

Reconcile Outgoing Post Worksheets and correctly identify business units to cross charge

Assist with regular building distributions, including Mailruns, adhoc deliveries etc.

Maintain adequate stock supplies for the Mail Centre.

Receive high quantities of incoming freight, ensuring that security and Occupational Work Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to

About You:
We are looking for someone who enjoys the complex the complex nature of working within a mailroom and thrives on being organised. You will also have:

Previous mail services experience (advantage)

Demonstrated organisational and time management skills

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Self-motivated with demonstrated decision making and problem-solving abilities

Demonstrated customer service skills

A strong commitment to continuous improvement
