Experienced Maintenance Officer (Aged Care)

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer to join the Illowong team. The Maintenance Officer will ensure that our facility is safe, clean, and well-maintained, providing our residents with a comfortable and homely environment.

Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Residence Manager you will be responsible for;

Conducting regular inspections of the facility to identify any maintenance or repair needs

Completing repairs and maintenance tasks as required, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work

Responding to resident and staff requests for repairs or maintenance in a timely manner

Keeping accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed

Conducting regular safety checks of the facility and implementing any necessary safety measures

Assisting with the implementation of the facility’s preventative maintenance program

Coordinating with external contractors as required

Requirements:
Relevant work experience in a similar role, preferably possessing a certificate in building work such as carpentry or joinery

The ability and competency to use a wide range of equipment and tools

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong organisational skills. With a demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks.

Ability to use a computer and relevant software
