The Department for Industry, Innovation and Science (DIIS) is on a mission to build on the unique advantages South Australia offers to progress opportunities for sustainable economic growth and long-term productivity and prosperity for all South Australians.
Our Department achieves this by working with businesses, researchers and across government to support the transition to higher value added activities in addition to supporting the decarbonisation of industry.
Our Department works with industry to improve production processes, technology and alignment of workforce capabilities. This improves productivity and creates a more resilient economy with a diverse industrial base and an adaptable workforce.
About the role:
As a result of supporting staff development and mobility, we have the opportunity for an experienced P&C professional to join our team for a fixed term.
The Manager, Human Resources (HR) will lead a small team to provide HR services across DIIS. The Manager, HR is part of a wider People and Culture team that is committed to building organisational capability to deliver better business outcomes for the Department. This is achieved through shaping a vibrant, connected ‘one enterprise’ culture and creating a positive employee experience to enable our people to reach their full potential and perform at their best within a safe and inclusive environment.
There are a couple of reasons that we think this position will appeal to a high performing and collaborative HR professional:
The ability to have a genuine impact. Working within a Department focused on investing in our people and developing leadership excellence and capability, and having the people resources to actually partner with the business.
The opportunity to be part of a Department at an exciting time following the establishment of our new Strategic Directions, and being empowered to support positioning us as an agency that delivers results.
This role will be perfect for the systems thinking HR professional who is experienced in change management. If you naturally see how things fit together, how you can link HR support and interventions to strategic priorities, then this will give you the ideal platform to take the next step in your career. Your ability to partner with other teams and functions to create the most value will really have a chance to shine.
If this sounds like an opportunity that fits with your working and leadership style, please express your interest in the position today. We look forward to discussing this with you further.
