About the role:
As a result of supporting staff development and mobility, we have the opportunity for an experienced P&C professional to join our team for a fixed term.

The Manager, Human Resources (HR) will lead a small team to provide HR services across DIIS. The Manager, HR is part of a wider People and Culture team that is committed to building organisational capability to deliver better business outcomes for the Department. This is achieved through shaping a vibrant, connected ‘one enterprise’ culture and creating a positive employee experience to enable our people to reach their full potential and perform at their best within a safe and inclusive environment.

Key Selection Criteria:
To apply and succeed in the role, you will have:
Understanding of contemporary, state and national, workforce/industrial relations principles, policies and practices, relevant legislation, HR management procedures and their application with the SA Public Sector, including understanding of Awards, EB Agreements, Commissioner’s Determinations and Codes of Practice.

Proven experience in leading development and implementation of contemporary human resource projects and initiatives.

Experience conducting investigations and managing industrial relations matters.

Demonstrated ability to communicate, consult and negotiate in a highly effective, flexible and influential manner, including managing conflict with tact and diplomacy.

Ability to think strategically, determine and prioritise goals and exercise judgement under broad direction.

Desirable – Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or other relevant discipline.

ASO8 $117,554 min – $121,992 max pa (plus 10.5% superannuation)

Special Conditions:
Temporary contract available up to 31 December 2023.
