A well-established family medical centre located within a Shopping Centre east of Melbourne CBD is seeking an experienced Medical receptionist to join their team urgently!

Essential Requirements
Well presented, friendly, organised and reliable, with accuracy and excellent attention to detail
Be adaptable and enjoy working for a variety of medical specialities in a busy practice
Previous medical receptionist experience highly regarded
Be empathetic to patients and their families
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including an ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with patients with a caring attitude
Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
Sound computer skills and experience with Best Practice or another clinical software package
You will have a demonstrated understanding of common health issues
Responsibilities include:
Front desk administration (answering phones, making appointments, processing claims and payments)
Liaise with patients and their families, GPs, other health professionals and their staff in a compassionate manner
Scanning and updating all patient-related correspondence and results
All general reception, administrative and medical support duties as required
Provide ongoing support to GP and practice nurse as required
Be a friendly point of contact between patients and the internal clinical team
Ability to work independently and as a team
