About the Position
Located in the Health and Regulatory Services Branch, this leadership position is responsible for the operational delivery of City Parking services and the management of front-line officers who deliver critical, effective and safety-focused regulatory parking outcomes within the City of Gold Coast.
Key Deliverables of the position
Leadership of an operational City Parking team who assesses and responds to regulatory parking issues in accordance with State and City legislation, policies, and standards, to ensure optimum service delivery.
Promote and deliver a quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement culture to ensure compliance and outcome-focused service delivery.
Provision of specialised professional advice on parking regulatory matters.
Liaison and collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders relating to parking regulation and safety matters.
Establishment and maintenance of strong working relationships with community groups, business affiliations and associations to increase community awareness, voluntary compliance and continuous improvement in services.
Management of team Workplace Health and Safety matters and demonstrated leadership, including incident investigation, safety conversations, and personal practice to ensure a safe workplace.
You will be a natural and strong leader who champions change and develops people to achieve their personal and organisational goals. You will be a “can do” person who readily accepts challenges, thrives on innovation, and solves problems in a complex, challenging and high-profile regulatory environment. You will have a decisive understanding of State and City legislation and local government regulatory roles and responsibilities. Critically, you will be an excellent leader of field-based operations in a large and growing City.
