About the role

We are now recruiting for a Packaging Maintenance Manager to join our Supply Chain and Operations Team. This role will see you implementing preventative maintenance programs to minimise breakdowns and ensuring breakdowns are repaired in a timely fashion to reduce down time. You will lead a team of maintenance technicians responsible for all maintenance, electrical and ground works undertaken at the Berri Estates Packaging and Warehouse facilities.

This role will be based in Riverland, Berri. Berri Estates Winery is the largest combined Winery and Packaging Facility in the Southern Hemisphere with a proud heritage and world class technology. You will be part of a committed team, working alongside passionate colleagues with an ambitious change agenda. This is an integral site to the Accolade Wines business where you will gain exposure and experience across diverse projects and opportunities.

This role would suit an enthusiastic and driven individual who comes from a supervisory or team lead background in Engineering. We will invest in your development and provide the tools for you to fast track to Manager!

This role is full-time and permanent.

Key responsibilities include:
Manage, coach and develop the maintenance team

Planning and coordination of daily work programs

Management of contractors and other resources on site

Foster a safety first culture

Ensure compliance to quality, environmental, good manufacturing and HACCP practices.

What you’ll bring:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an allied engineering environment.

Relevant manufacturing/trade/engineering qualifications

Ability to lead teams in a fast paced work environment.
