PHARMACIST Full time – SYDENHAM PHARMACY

 

Sydenham Pharmacy is offering a fantastic opportunity for a full time pharmacist. The position involves working with an experienced team of pharmacists, technicians and retail staff in an extended hours medical centre pharmacy. Our busy independent pharmacy is in a north west suburbs growth corridor, only 15 minutes from the Melbourne CBD. We pride ourselves on providing a supportive team environment for all staff. The medical centre is operated by MedicalOne, a very succesful and established provider with a great reputation and high professional standards. We have also developed good relationships with a range of other healthcare providers and receive great support from the broader local community.

The successful applicant must possess excellent communication and people skills. You should also be able to engage equally well with doctors, customers and staff. 

Patient interactive dispensing and counselling are the cornerstones of our pharmacy service. We are very customer focused and driven. We pride ourselves on having an excellent reputation for professional customer service.

Experience with Fred Dispense, Fred Office and Webstercare would be advantageous. We supply an extensive number of DAA’s to our local customers (but do not currently supply nursing homes or provide a pharmacotherapy service). Vaccination services are not yet provided but are highlighted for development. 

This position is a full time equivalent position with some roster negotiation possible. However, the succesful applicant needs to be flexible within the needs of the business. The pharmacy is open extended hours over 7 days and your roster will include one or two evenings and an occasional weekend shift, plus potential coverage for other pharmacists when needed. There is also potential for a four day week working week if desired. 

The applicant must hold a current AHPRA registration in Australia, be enthusiastic and have demonstrated management skills. You must also be able to help grow the business and have a strong work ethic. This will mean assisting the team to be proactive in seeking out new opportunities whilst leveraging and maximising the existing business. 

This position is open to pharmacists with all ranges of experience. It will have an hourly rate commensurate with that experience, but you are assured that it will be very competitive in the market place. Several other attractive conditions are included upon application and include paid professional training courses &/or conferences.
