The Bureau’s Planning and Performance Team (the Team) is small but agile and high-performing and is responsible for ensuring that the Bureau’s planning and reporting activities support realisation of the Bureau’s Strategy. The Team oversees the Bureau’s planning, performance and reporting framework, and provides leadership, guidance and support across the Bureau to ensure the enterprise fulfills its legislative requirements.
The Team’s Planning and Performance Officer works across the Bureau’s planning, performance and reporting activities, including (but not limited to):
coordination, preparation and quality assurance of the Bureau’s Corporate Plan
facilitation and support of Group- and Program-level planning
coordination, preparation and quality assurance of the Bureau’s Annual Performance Statement, Annual Report and other reporting outputs
support and coordination of internal reviews of Bureau functional areas
The Planning and Performance Officer collaborates closely with members of the Strategy and Performance Program, the Senior Leadership Team, and the Bureau Executive, the Bureau’s Enterprise Services Group and technical areas of the organisation.
Key attributes for the role include the ability to foster and maintain positive relationships, to operate with flexibility to manage competing priorities, and to create strategic linkages to planning and reporting outputs from across the enterprise.
Successful candidates will have well-developed government planning and performance experience, excellent analytical and communication skills, sound judgment, high level organisation skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
