Primary Purpose:
Provide sound industrial advice and support on employee relations specific industrial issues to emergency services organisation Executive and senior managers.

Lead the development and coordination of an effective industrial relations agenda to effect workplace change and improve service delivery.

Lead the resolution of industrial relation issues in collaboration with the emergency service organisations.

Provide timely and accurate advice, recommendations and support in the interpretation and application of industrial policies, awards, agreements, determinations and entitlements.

Conduct and/or coordinate industrial relations projects and develop and implement policies and strategies addressing a broad range of industrial and employee relation issues across the Emergency Services Sector (ESS).

Take a lead role in representations in industrial forums on employee relations issues including industrial advocacy services, as relevant, before Industrial Tribunals and work with Executive, managers, employees and industrial bodies to resolve the more complex, including the management of the resolution of disputes, disciplinary matters and employee grievances.

Conduct/provide high level consultative services on issues relating to the negotiation and implementation of relevant enterprise bargaining agreements and other Industrial instruments.

Establish and maintain structures and mechanisms to facilitate consultative processes and continuous improvement in an enterprise bargaining environment.

Ensure Service-wide industrial outcomes negotiated through the SA Employment Tribunal (SAET), Australian Human Rights Commission (AHRC), Equal Opportunity Commission (EOC) and SA Civil and Administrative Tribunal (SACAT). are correctly implemented across the ESS.

Essential Qualifications:
Relevant tertiary qualification in a related discipline and/or equivalent experience

Remuneration:
ASO8

$117,554 – $121,992 p.a.

Engagement will be subject to a satisfactory Emergency Services Sector Criminal History Check. For all special conditions, please refer to the Role Description.
