Full Job Description
Purchasing Expeditor – Based Perth CBD + WFH 3 days per week

This global mining and metals company has a diverse range of commodities and has it’s headquarters based in Perth. They are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Expeditor to join our team based at their Perth office.

The purpose of this role is to provide specialist support to ensure timely and cost-effective supply of goods and services to the business.

Job Responsibilities

Confirming purchase orders with vendors

Expediting Orders including direct engagement with vendors to develop solutions that meet order requirements

Obtaining supplier QA documentation as required

Provide support. Eg. Obtaining quotes, liaising with vendors for documentation, arranging freight movements, creating purchase orders for freight and matching to invoices.

Resolving invoice discrepancies

Assist onboarding Vendors onto Vendor Portal and ensuring compliance with same.

Assist with Vendor performance discussions in regards quality performance.

Participate with other team members in projects lead by Purchasing Manager or Strategic Sourcing.

Provide coverage and support to other procurement team members as required.

What you bring

Min 2 years procurement experience

Experience in use of ERP system (ideally SAP) for purchasing

Must be willing to contact suppliers directly and engage to provide solutions and deliver on-time

Experience working in project environment preferred

Experience with reporting software

Intermediate excel and Power BI experience an advantage.
