About the role

AB is looking to recruit a Receptionist/Accounts Payable Officer.

This role plays an essential part in supporting the accounts payable function by processing supplier invoices and assisting with the month-end accounting close. As well as reception duties by operating the telecommunications system of the business.

AB is conveniently located at Silverwater with both onsite and street parking. 

Key tasks and responsibilities, whilst not limited to include:

Accounts Payable

  • Performing daily accounts payable activities.
  • Access accounts payable e-mails then print and distribute as required.
  • Enter allocated invoices into MFG-PRO.
  • Liaise with the purchasing department regarding pricing.
  • Sort and file delivery dockets.
  • Payables reconciliations.
  • Visa and Mastercard reconciliation.
  • Review invoices with receiving regarding variances.
  • Suppliers queries i.e. incorrect or duplicate invoices.
  • Maintain supplier’s details within MFG-PRO.
  • Arrange new Vendor numbers.
  • Filing.
  • Reconcile suppliers’ statement, follow-up and request for copy of outstanding invoices.
  • Comply with all Company policies, WHS and Quality procedures.
  • Any ad-hoc reporting and account reconciliations as required.
  • Reception duties relief as required.
  • Ad-hoc tasks and duties as required.

Reception

  • Answer then redirect all external and internal phone calls.
  • Communicate all overnight messages to the appropriate employee.
  • Process and distribute all messages.
  • Greet all contractors plus visitors and redirect them to the Rapid Induct program where they will be signed in or inducted prior to leaving the reception area.
  • Issue safety and protective wear to all visitors and contractors visiting any production, warehouse or maintenance area.
  • Open and distribute all mail received via Australia Post.
  • Arrange for all outgoing mail to be franked and sent to Australia Post.
  • Receive and log all internal branch mail via overnight satchels.
  • Arrange for all outgoing branch mail to be sent via pre-paid overnight satchels.
  • Receive small deliveries and distribute.
  • General reception duties as required.
  • Comply with all Company policies, WHS and Quality procedures
     

Daily clean of the office lunchroom, coffee machine and dishwasher

What we’re looking for, is someone with ….

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with internal, external customers and peers.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • An ability to cope with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • High attention to detail.
  • MSOffice – Intermediate (Excel/Word/Outlook)
  • Strong work ethic
  • Results orientated attitude whilst maintaining a professional and team player approach
  • An Australian/NZ citizenship or an unrestricted Visa to live and work in Australia.
