Salary: UOM 5 – $76,886 – $88,312 p.a. plus 17% super (pro rata for part-time)

About – Legal and Risk

Legal and Risk is a vibrant and dynamic business unit. We pride ourselves on our collegiate approach to working across teams, functions, faculties and disciplines, and touch all areas of the University’s operations.

The Information Governance Services group administers key elements of the University’s regulatory framework and is responsible for ensuring good information governance practices are embedded in behaviours, systems and processes across the University. Within this group, the Records & Information team provides records and information management consulting, advice, assessments, training and resources to support and build records and information compliance.

About the Role

As Records & Information Support Officer you will provide operational and administrative support for functions related to records and information management. This includes supporting the provision of expert advice and resources, contributing to the administration of information systems and supporting records disposal and digitisation activities.

Responsibilities include:
Contributing to projects and follow established practices and procedures to support the effective and efficient management of University records throughout their lifecycle

Assisting with information system administration and system testing, as required, to ensure the integrity, authenticity and security of records

Providing administrative and technical support within the team

Applying access frameworks to University records and data in response to internal client requests in accordance with business processes

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. You can work efficiently and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Your outstanding organisational and communication skills will allow you to build and maintain rapport with a wide range of stakeholders from all diversities. You will consistently have a professional ‘can do’ attitude and will be able to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively to ensure you manage competing demands and meet deadlines.

You will also have:
Relevant qualification and experience, or a combination of relevant experience and education/training

Knowledge and understanding of records management standards, systems and practice, including awareness of external regulatory frameworks

Demonstrated client service skills and experience in a customer service environment

Ability to apply access and security frameworks to records, and work with confidential and sensitive information
