THE ROLE

The Registration Operations and Development team is responsible for the registration of disability workers and students in accordance with the Disability Service Safeguards Act 2018 (the Act). The team also provides support to the Disability Worker Registration Board of Victoria to fulfil its regulatory functions.

Registration demonstrates that disability workers have been independently assessed as safe, skilled and professional and supports a safer, stronger disability sector.


ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

  • Undertake accurate and timely initial assessment of applications for disability worker registration in accordance with the Act, registration standards, and the Commission’s policies and procedures.
  • Enter accurate and timely data using the Commission’s case management system to ensure the quality and integrity of registration and accreditation information related to disability workers and disability students.
  • Prepare correspondence and relevant documentation and reports about registration and accreditation matters.
