Risk and Compliance Advisor

We are seeking an experienced Risk and Compliance Advisor with a commercial background to take the lead on reporting requirements to ensure best practice is met for our Melbourne Connect University Maintenance Contract. Reporting to the Contract Manager, this client interfacing role is key to the success of this contract.   

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Management of the Risk and Compliance functions across the contract
  • Delivery of insightful risk analysis reports and providing pragmatic and commercial risk management advice
  • Provide assurance on the effectiveness of the Risk Management Framework and work flexibly and collaboratively within a small team
  • Supporting the maintenance of an effective risk management framework
  • Challenging and reviewing the design and operating effectiveness of key controls to maximise contract performance

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will come to us with:

  • Qualifications in Business, Law, Commerce or a related discipline (desirable)
  • Previous experience in leading (or assisting) in a risk and compliance role within a large organisation ideally within facilities management but not essential
  • Well-developed planning and organisational skills
  • Energy, enthusiasm, drive, self-motivated and an influencer of change
  • Analytic mindset with a good eye for attention to detail
  • Highly effective communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders
