About the opportunity
Jetstar are currently recruiting Storepersons based out of Melbourne precinct. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure support to Jetstar’s Maintenance facilities at Tullamarine (Melbourne Airport) and maintain regulatory compliance for Aeronautical products and safety for dangerous goods within the area of responsibility. Integral in providing stock integrity and compliance for Aeronautical products, tooling, and general inventory items; also providing support to the Jetstar Engineering throughout the maintenance network as required.
This role requires a motivated team player who thrives on taking accountability for the completion of all work activities and working to maintain a safe compliance environment.
Your main accountabilities include:
Active involvement in Safety, initiating observations and understanding the Jetstar Safety Management System
Communicate Safety related issues clearly and appropriately
Performing daily functions in a safe manner whilst adhering to company policies and procedures
Assist the Engineering department in maintaining compliance and control with Parts/tooling in the Jetstar network
Responsible for the inspection of incoming aeronautical products, tooling and commercial items in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, standards, specifications, and Jetstar processes.
Ensure entry of data into Jetstar Engineering inventory system in a timely manner whilst following company procedures
Identifies and separates non-compliant items for further disposition
Issue, receipt and return of parts and tooling to customers
Operating the Aeronautical product & tool store and associated stores husbandry tasks
Dispatching and receiving goods, including loading/unloading of assets and compliance to National heavy goods regulations
Provide support to other parts of the AMO & Supply chain as well as other Jetstar Group companies
Working to ensure efficiency and safety whilst supporting the Base maintenance in providing an on-time maintenance program service to Jetstar AOC
Providing Supply chain assistance to external and internal customers as required.
Assisting in investigations and business improvement as required
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills, qualifications, and experience:
Experience within a Stores or 3PL logistics environment desired
Experience within aviation engineering environment
A good level of computer competency
Ability to manage competing priorities
Excellent communication skill
Self-starter and team orientated
Ability to obtain and hold a Dangerous Goods and Forklift qualification.
Must hold a driver’s license
Ability to hold an Airside Drivers Authority
Ability to attain an Airside Security Pass
